Building links to your site is important for the site to get traffic. I have found it useful to consider this while actually building the page not as an after thought. Not all pages will lend themselves to building links; but here is some food for thought. It is by no means intented to be all inclusive.

Colaboration

When creating pages, searchs can be done concerning the topic of the page. Other sites may have information that you can cite and can cite the information on your site.

Common events

There are planned and unplanned events that may be of interest to customers of your company; it is natural that you would put information on your site regarding the event. These events are likely covered on other websites, links from your site to the event site is natural and opens the opportunities for links from sites about the event to link back to your information.

Services of interest

Beyond the main service of the company there may be many other services that are of interest to others; Wifi hot spot; Hotel has a resturant, a shuttle service; Used car dealer also does repairs ...
